Care Guidance and Respite Services

Providing Free Child Care Guidance and Respite Care Services under the auspices of qualified child care professionals.

In today's busy society, many parents are often faced with multiple pressures from work, family, and childcare. Therefore, support and assistance related to childcare is urgently needed. The Christian Salvation Service has actively provided services to women, children and families in the community for more than 2,000 infants and young children. We are set to continue to provide this valuable experience and our resources.

We provide vulnerable or needy families who have children under the age of two with free services. These services included In-home Child Support Services, Child Support Services at Predetermined locations, and Parenting Courses in Groups on Child Care. Our aim is to relieve the frustration and powerlessness of novice parents in taking care of their infants. The goal is for these babies can grow up healthy in a safe, happy environment.

Parents with little parenting experience, faced with caring for a baby for the first time, and who often feel overwhelmed by unexpected situations, often fear that they will fail. These parents express the concern that information found on the internet is inconsistent. They are unsure which advice to follow. In order to address this worry and confusion that new parents may have, the Christian Salvation Service regularly organizes Parenting Courses in Groups on Child Care. Licensed childcare workers who have many years of experience in infant care gained from their time at Muen (our former nursery) will share about care situations through courses in infant care. Consultation on various parenting situations including crisis management, CPR, and general experience and knowledge helps new parents to acquire the needed knowledge and ability more accurately and effectively while eliminating many troubles arising from novice parenting. In addition, individuals are also free to apply for the In-home Parenting Guidance Service - CSS arranges for senior childcare workers to homes to provide on-site guidance, so that new parents can improve their parenting skills and possible environmental concerns to ensure infants and young children receive proper care.

New parents often have little to no time to take care of themselves both physically or mentally due to care demands for infants and young children. Currently, the Taipei Nei-Hu Women & Families - run by The Christian Salvation Service contract by Taipei City- provides a parenting-friendly space for the community that is open to children under the age of three.

Needing parent/s may apply for temporary child care respite services at predetermined locations. These services are offered so that mothers who come to the center for classes can temporarily entrust the care of their children to our qualified professional childcare worker who have many years of experience in infant care. One mother was very pleasantly surprised that there was indeed such service. She explained that she had been taking care of her child, but she had had no time to look after herself. By using this service, she was able to relax her tired body without worries for her child.

In addition to the already mentioned child care respite service, the Christian Salvation Service also provides in-home child care respite services, which are open to qualify applications from disadvantaged families or those families with special circumstances in addition to foster care and adoptive families. This service is coordinated by our social workers.

The Christian Salvation Service hopes that through the extensive services it provides, the stress and pressures experienced by parents/caregivers can be effectively relieved. With the Christian Salvation Service support, families can face and tackle any challenges successfully!
