I once held you just like I am holding your son now.

Some of our adoptees have grown into adulthood, built families of their own, and are now parents themselves. When they return to Taiwan, some choose to bring their children with them—to introduce the next generation to their birth country and to the people who once cared for them.

One adoptee returned to Taiwan with his two-year-old son, an absolutely adorable little boy. During their visit, they went together to see his former foster family. When the foster mother saw the toddler, her face lit up with joy and deep emotion. She gently held the child in her arms, played with him, and said to the adoptee, I once held you just like I am holding your son now. I played with you just as I am playing with him.”

Her words carried years of love, memory, and connection. It was a profoundly heartwarming moment—one that bridged the past and the present, and connected generations through care and affection. For the adoptee, this reunion brought a deep sense of peace and fulfillment: returning to the place and the people who once nurtured him, now as a parent himself.
