2025 Christmas Newsletter

O satisfy us in the morning with Your lovingkindness, That we may sing for joy and be glad all our days.     Psalm 90:14

Dear CSS Families and Friends,

Season’s greetings and may the blessings of Peace and Joy be with you all!

As we are looking into 2026, the passing of time becomes very clear.  Uncertainty seems to be a worldwide concern.  What did the past months bring you? Do you have a new year’s resolution made?

At CSS we are kept busy with continuing programs and still dedicatedly working on the growing new services.

The two Women’s support and empowerment centers are very lively with many classes, activities on top of the vital counseling and legal consultation sessions. Also, resources were brought in to provide scholarship for almost 200 students of the clients the centers serve.

Our years of adoption services now become a very helpful and needed program, Foster care training & recruitment.  Within just months the small team has already recruited and placed 20 children with trained families.  A very positive start.

The post adoption service (Roots) team is ever so busy.  By the end of 3rd quarter 2025 they averaged 2 reunions meeting per week and that means tons of pre-meeting contact and counseling.  I love to hear the stories the team shares on their efforts in finding the birth family for each seeking request. Having more than 2000 clients over a period of 40 years means the chance of having non-contacting birth families is quite high.  When the official and not so official means to locate the current contact of any birth family yield little or non respond, going on physical visits have to be tried.  More than once, a team member would voluntarily include a visit to a more remote site during their own family vacation.  The visit of a seemingly normal address that took them to the middle of removed country side with wild street dogs barking a wire fence away.  But, the joy they share when a contact was made and the meeting with the adoptive family comes together make it all worthy.

April 2025 Mu-En Child Development and Early Childhood Intervention Center started its pilot program.  Working with professionals our team promotes awareness of children’s development and provides training sessions for parents as well as the care-givers. Screening and assessments make early intervention available that prevents serious delay.

We are ever so grateful for our services for women, children and families in dire situation that evolved with time and changes. The mission stays the same but adjustments are made according to the actual needs of the people we serve. Thank you for your support in prayers and resources.

May Our Lord’s peaceful spirit be with you and all your loved ones in the coming year and bless you with good health.

In His service
