We appreciate Jieling taking the time to interview with us and share her insights...

We are honored that Jieling, who is preparing her intercountry adoption research, visited CSS to conduct her comparative observations between Taiwan and the Netherlands. We appreciate Jieling taking the time to interview with us and share her insights. She noticed significant differences in learning approaches between the two countries.

Jieling kindly shared her perspective, observing that children in Taiwan begin learning at a very young age, which contrasts with the approach in the Netherlands. There, they believe children learn best through play.

It reminded us that Jean Piaget’s theory of how children learn. He was the first psychologist to conduct a systematic study of children‘s cognitive development. We have shared Jieling’s observations with our children‘s early intervention team, we may have opportunity to  implement these important insights into our practice.
